O2 Your Country Live is a fantastic FREE annual live music event to reward O2’s international calling community in the UK. Bigger and better than ever before, this year’s event presents Polish icon Kayah alongside fast rising Czech act Toxique across the network of national O2 academies.
Since the release of her hugely successful debut album ‘Kamień’ in 1996, Kayah has become one of the most successful and respected female singer-songwriters ever in Poland. Her many career highlights include the 700,000 platinum selling album ‘Kayah and Bregovic’, numerous accolades from MTV, the Polish Music Industry, Polish Television and the prestigious Fryderyk awards, singing for the Pope’s birthday; and a long and successful relationship with her many fans in the live arena. Kayah performs in London on Polish Independence Day.
With the first autumn showers, the Czech music scene was hit by a fierce storm around the issue of a new album by the band TOXIQUE. The eagerly-awaited album has not managed to get comfy on store counters yet and is already reaping rave reviews by music critics. TOXIQUE, who, along with their musical brilliance, attracted huge attention last year for their imaginatively produced show with its spirit of second-hand fashion – have, this time turned their attention in the opposite direction. The new album itself is called “OUTLET PEOPLE”. The band maybe suggests that the way we knew it before is already on the sales racks and fans should expect the arrival of a new collection "TOXIQUE - Fall 2010”.
To collaborate on their new image, they invited the gurus of Czech graphic art, the Najbrt Studio, and they decided to launch the new album “Outlet People” at DESIGNBLOK.
