Toxique Were Very Successful at the French Music Festival Europavox.
The fourth year of the European music festival called Europavox was held in Clermont-Ferrand, France, under the auspices of the European Union, when sixty of the best young artists of the old continent played on the stage from 27th to 31st May. Toxique (the Discover of the Year at the Anděl Awards) performed on Thursday 28 May.
The French promoters spared no words of praise, who characterized Toxique as the most up-to-date and most successful band of the Czech representation. Right after they got home, they received, based on their excellent performance, another invitation to a European festival in Stockholm, Sweden, to be held in fall.
Klára Vytisková from Toxique said about the festival: “I was fascinated how warmly the audience accepted us, how the people reacted to our songs, as if they knew them well. We had the concert in a marquee with surprisingly good acoustics, only the space of our little sitting room was kind of confined. The entire festival was perfectly organized and had an interesting program.“
The RGM representative, Petr Dokládal, who also participated in the festival, evaluates Europavox as successful, Toxique was seen by 600 spectators.
Wingy Toxique are setting of for the Spring DeTox Toxique Tour 2009, adding a concert in Děčín.
Toxique, the recent holder of the Discovery of the Year award of the Popular Music Academy, is setting off for a tour of Bohemian and Moravian regions in the middle of April. The tour will start on Friday 17 April 2009 at the Golem Club in Zlín and will be finished by a Grand Finale on 22 May in mystic „Kravín“ in Únětice, close to Prague.
Toxique also endeavor to break through to the domestic radio and TV music charts and programs with another song "Honey" from their eponymous album that is just succeeding in the TV charts. MTV had a reason to start playing the above-mentioned video in the World Chart Express.
For big success, the band decided to include an extra concert in their tour program - Děčín, Škuner club, 2 May.
TOXIQUE have won ANDĚL! The band won the DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR category of the Annual Popular Music Academy Awards Anděl 2008.
This year’s surprise of the Annual Popular Music Academy Awards Anděl 2008 was the total of four nominations for Toxique. They turned only one of them into the award in the end – the Discovery of the Year.
"Wow! Thanks, thanks, thanks for having discovered us!" said Klára, the Toxique singer as the first reaction to just achieved award.
During the live transmission on the Czech TV, Toxique presented their song Two Sides to all present people and audience, including their typical Toxique-like living room, including a sofa, coffee table, boa and many other necessities. Toxique has prepared and all these proprieties and much good music, a lot of disguises and other surprises for their current Spring DeTox Toxique Tour 2009, which will start on 17 April with a concert in Zlín and will end with “grand final” in Kravín, Únětice, on 22 May.
At the end of May – Thursday 28th – Toxique will perform on the stage of the French music festival EuropaVox in Clermont-Ferrand.
Besides, Toxique also try to capture space in radio and television stations with their song Honey coming from their first album called Toxique.
The Dobeška theatre is getting ready for the pre-premiere concert of Toxique of their DeTox Turné 2009.
The Dobeška theatre will experience a pre-premiere concert of the Spring DeTox Toxique Tour 2009. Pieces of the prepared tour to taste will be served by Toxique – singer Klára Vytisková, guitar player Patrick Karpentski, keyboardist Viliam Béreš, bass guitar player Jan Lstibůrek and drummer Roman Vícha, on Wednesday 18 March at 8:00 PM.
Those, who have not noticed Toxique yet, should know that Toxique have been nominated for Annual Popular Music Academy Awards 2008 in four categories – Band of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Album of the Year, and Klára Vytisková for the Female Singer of the Year.
If this is not enough, we can add for the starting year that Toxique become one of the three most successful artists in the Discovery of the Year during the Friday ceremony (6 March) of the Žebřík Awards.
During last year, they managed to make a great video for song „Two Sides“, get their music to the ears of the art chief of the Brussels Ballet, who used five songs of theirs in their dance show Barbie. RGM Entertainment Agency is preparing a tour of Belgium in cooperation with DIVA records also prepares release of the debut album TOXIQUE in Belgium, Netherlands and Spain.
But now they will make a tour of the Bohemian and Moravian regions, which they have titled the 2009 Spring DeTox Tour and that will start on Friday 17 April 2009 at the Golem Club in Zlín and will be finished by a Grand Finale on 22 May in mystic „Kravín“ in Únětice u Prahy (see all tour dates below).
What will Toxique offer during their concerts? Traditionally great music with excellent vocals of Klára Vytisková. And even more – we certain can look forward to the “classic” red sofa, numerous Klara’s disguises, telephone, boa, screen, known and new songs, and surprise the band never spares.

Toxique are promising a rich Christmas box in the Roxy Club, Prague, for 2 December, for all, who will come to the Christmas concert of Toxique to be held in the Roxy Club, Prague, on Tuesday 2 December. The band will certainly thoroughly prepare the Christmas concert, and not only the only the music content. Besides their traditional sofa, telephone, lamps, boa and very important dog Toxíque, they will, for sure, prepare also some traditional and non-traditional Christmas surprises.

What’s written, is set, we’ve just signed it. For a minimum of the next few years, Toxique will be presented under the RGM label. Important is that the contract guarantees an absolute creative freedom for us, so there will not be any style specification in the future either. So we will continue doing unchained POPMUSIC at pleasure of heart and ear;-)
Release of the album will be postponed a bit to the turn of January and February 2008 and if you wish to hear some other songs than those four we have here, come to the concert. There will be lots of them in autumn.
Recoooording The album recording is fully running, so we are wondering what it will be like:-)
We are starting our autumn tour of clubs 1.listopadu at the NA RAMPĚ Club in Mariánské Lázně on November 1, so if you are close, stop by. The nearest gig in Prague is in Roxy club on Free Mondays on November 5 (if you want to see us, hear us and not to pay a penny, as Ilja would say, come to the club.
